Healthcare

  • According to Union health ministry data Indian Community Health Centre’s has a shortfall of 76.1% specialist doctor.
  • Allopathic doctors in PHCs have, however, increased from 20, 308 in 2005 to 28,516 in 2020 up about 40%.
  • There is shortage of allopathic doctor of 6.8% at PHC level.
  • The number of ANM in sub-centres and PHCs increased by 59.6%.
  • Overall shortfall of ANMs is just 2% as per the norms.
