Anti-Microbial Resistance: 700,000 deaths have been reported due to resistant infections worldwide. Antibiotics are estimated to increase body weight by five-six per cent and feed efficiency by 3-4 per cent. By 2030 economic loss due to AMR will be around $ 100 trillion.
Manual Scavenging:
Number of manual scavengers in India had come down from nearly 8 lakh in 2003 to about 13,000 in 2013. Despite Swachh Bharat Mission, this figure shot up to 42,303 in 2018.
