    Discuss the need for regulating medical education in India? Why is medical fraternity opposing the National Medical Commission Bill?

    Hint: The question very clear and has two parts and need to be addressed in that order. Theme of the question is regulation of medical education in India.

    Introduction (I): Highlight significance of medical education in ensuring quality of healthcare in India. Also mention issues it faces as evident in abolition of MCI.

    Body (B): 1) In context of abolition of MCI bring out the issues in medical education in India (quality, money power, corruption etc.).

    2) Mention National Medical Commission brought as the replacement of the MCI (mention main features). And focus on arguments as why the medical fraternity opposes this.

    Conclusion (C): Suggest measures to address concerns of medical fraternity.
