- The World Bank estimates suggest that up to 150 million people could be pushed into extreme poverty by 2021, with a significant number of the new poor in countries with already high poverty rates.

1. Education policy and education system are important means of fulfilling the aspirations of the country. In this context critically analyze the National Education Policy 2020. [Reference: NDTV]
Hint: The question is centred on the significance of the education system in the country and for this you have to critically analyze the NEP, 2020.
Introduction (I): How education shape not only individual, but society and country. Mention importance the constitution and government assigns to it in India. Body (B): 1) Highlight how education policy and system is significant for realizing aspirations of the country (social capital, demographic dividend, aware citizens, accountability of the govtetc) 2) Now base on above significance analyze how NEP seeks to guide and reform education in India (focus on primary, secondary, higher education, teacher’s role as well as importance to research). Conclusion (C): NEP if taken to natural conclusion can go a long way in ensuring India utilize its demographic dividend efficiently to make a great nation.. |
2. Will the Pradhan Mantri Jan ArogyaYojana (PM–JAY) achieve universal health coverage?
Hint: The question is clear and asks about the possibility of PM-JAY in achieving universal health coverage.
Introduction (I): Define Universal health Care and PM-JAY and its objective. Body (B): 1) Positives or several first step towards universal healthcare through PM-JAY (Major population included, Insurance coverage etc.). 2) Challenges/gaps in PM-JAY in achieving universal healthcare. 3) Suggest measures to strengthen PM-Jay or how it needs to be complemented by creating infrastructure, increasing coverage etc Conclusion (C): Rising health crisis makes universal healthcare important as even the court recognised the right to health as part of right to life.. |
