LAST WEEK STRATEGY FOR MAINS 2020
BY
SANTOSH SIR
Starting strong is good. Finishing strong is epic.
Hey all,
Hope everyone is doing good and your mains preparation is on a right track. This last one week is very important because it will decide whether you make it to the list or not. It is because, all your hard work and sleepless nights will get a finishing touch with this last week and I wish to add a gem to the crown of your MAINS 2020 Preparation. Not a single gem but 8 gems in the form of final mock tests (2 mock tests for each paper) which is a completely free initiative to help the aspirants to guide them on the right path of success.
SO HOW DOES IT WORK??
This 8 Full length Tests will be uploaded in the website and you can take tests by downloading the question cum answer booklet which is provided in the form of PDF. After writing each test you can send a scanned copy to the email id and I will give you a personalised feedback and improvement on your final leg of preparation. I expect only your sincerity and dedication in return.
Here is a 7 step basic mantra for making your mains 2020 a cake walk:
1. BE POSITIVE:
It is very important to be positive because only a positive and open mind will be able to guide you in the path of success. An optimistic attitude is the most important virtue you should carry not only for this last 1 week but throughout your life to make miracles.
2. THINK LIKE A WINNER:
This is the second most important attitude you should have. It’s important to realise that you have already crossed the 1st hurdle (PRELIMS) by defeating many lakhs aspirants. So carrying forward this winner attitude will make you cross the 2nd hurdle (MAINS) with more ease as you are a Winner already.
3. SET RIGHT YOUR BIOLOGICAL CLOCK:
It is tough to wake up early in the time of winters and many aspirants will be having a habit of burning the midnight oil during mains preparation. But it’s high time that you should set your body clock between 5 am to 10 pm as it is going to help you while appearing for 2020 mains examination. Take care of your health and avoid unnecessary outings and parties.
It is wise to beat this brutal cold now so that you can have a cup of coffee in the early winter mornings in LBSNAA which is worth in itself!!
4. MAKE AN EXAM ENVIRONMENT IN HOME:
It is very important to make the environment conducive for answer writing. Make sure you are comfortable with the examination centre kind of atmosphere in home and make yourselves ready accordingly.
The winter in Northern India is brutally cold comparted to Southern parts of India. So aspirants from Northern India should get adapted to the external weather you will be experiencing in the examination hall. Stop using heaters at home to make yourselves warm. Practice it for a week so that you will be comfortable in your respective examination centres as you cannot expect heaters and insulators in the exam hall!!
5. PRACTICE TESTS STRICTLY ADHERING TO THE ACTUAL EXAM TIMINGS:
It is important to practice answer writing in the Actual exam time of UPSC CSE MAINS. Do take FLTs in the timing as stipulated in the hall ticket. Practice it for one week so that you will be accustomed with the exact exam time.
6. REVSE IMPORTANT TOPICS AND IMPORTANT QUESTIONS:
I have come up with the important topics and questions for mains 2020 which is scientifically decided based on my vast experience of 6 years in this UPSC field. I suggest everyone to go through and revise those important topics and questions which will make your mains journey an easy sail!!
7. DEVISE A PROPER STUDY PLAN :
Use this 1 week only for your GS and Essay preparation as you will be getting a week time for your optional revision. For optional you will get one week time, so next 7 days give entirely for General Studies. So, Read, Revise, and Take a test and Repeat!!
Ideal plan
1st January Write the first test of GS 1 (1st sitting) and GS 2 (2nd sitting)
2nd January – Write the first test of GS 3 (1st sitting) and GS 4 (2nd sitting)
3rd and 4th January –Revision and feedback from Santosh Sir
5th January – Write the second test of GS 1 (1st sitting) and GS 2 (2nd sitting)
6th January– Write the second test of GS 3 (1st sitting) and GS 4 (2nd sitting)

IMPORTANT QUESTIONS COMPILATION FOR CSE MAINS 2020

MAINS 2020 IS APPROACHING. As the saying goes, Starting strong is good but finishing strong is EPIC!!
These 8 FLT’s are devised to make your finishing EPIC, and I will be the Krishna to all Arjunas out there who is very determined in his/her goal but seeking a guiding light towards achieving the goal.
IT IS ALWAYS WISE TO SWEAT MORE IN PRACTICE SO THAT YOU WILL BLEED VERY LESS IN THE WAR. My 8 FLT’s will make you sweat more in the practice but it will make you a winner in the real battle (MAINS 2020) without even a drop of sweat and blood.
Keep the spirit and goals high because Winning isn’t everything, it’s the only thing!!
Best of Luck
