Currently, urea is the only controlled fertilizer and is sold at a statutory notified uniform sale price. Fixing Nutrient Based Subsidy (NBS) rate for urea will encourage balanced use of urea and bring in efficiency in the fertilizer industry by infusing competition. Comment.
